JOB SUMMARY

The Managing Vice President, Infrastructure Platforms & Operations is a senior technology executive responsible for leading Marriott International’s global Cloud Platform Engineering, Infrastructure & DevOps Platforms (ICD), Global Network Services, and Workplace Technology Product & SRE organizations. This role oversees strategy, engineering, operations, and resiliency across cloud platforms, core infrastructure services, global network capabilities, and enterprise workplace technologies that enable productivity and collaboration for associates worldwide. The role is responsible for building the next generation compute, network and sovereign cloud infrastructure for AI-enabled workloads.

This leader drives cloud and network modernization, secure by design engineering practices, and scalable workplace platforms that support Marriott’s global business, properties, and corporate environments. The role ensures tight alignment across Cloud, Network, Global Information Security, Digital Workplace, and product engineering teams to deliver reliable, performant, and intuitive technology experiences for both business operations and associates.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related technical field

  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience across cloud engineering, infrastructure platforms, network services, and/or enterprise workplace technologies, preferably in a large global Fortune 500 organization

  • 10+ years of prior hands-on technical engineering or development experience (cloud, infrastructure, networking, automation, or enterprise platforms)

  • Demonstrated success leading large, multi-disciplinary global engineering and operations organizations

  • Deep expertise in multi-cloud platforms, network architecture, DevSecOps, automation, and reliability engineering

  • Strong experience partnering with cybersecurity teams to deliver secure by design platforms

  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and lead transformation in complex, matrixed enterprises

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large technology budgets and vendor portfolios

Preferred

  • Graduate degree

  • Experience leading large‑scale cloud migrations, network modernization, and workplace platform transformations

  • Experience supporting global digital workplace, collaboration, endpoint, and productivity platforms

  • Demonstrated success leading globally distributed teams across regions and cultures

  • Hospitality, consumer, or highly regulated industry experience

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  1. Cloud Platform Engineering & Infrastructure Platforms
  • Lead global teams responsible for cloud foundations, DevOps and CI/CD platforms, automation, container platforms, service mesh, and self-service engineering capabilities

  • Oversee enterprise cloud landing zones across all regions, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient architecture

  • Drive modernization of hybrid platforms, including datacenter, edge compute, and infrastructure engineering capabilities

  • Oversee SRE, observability, resiliency, and disaster recovery governance

  1. Global Network Services Leadership
  • Lead global network architecture and operations across datacenter networks, property connectivity, enterprise networks, and cloud network integration

  • Drive transformation of Marriott’s global connectivity ecosystem, including SD WAN, wireless, secure network edge, voice, and network automation

  • Ensure network performance, reliability, compliance, and resiliency at global scale

  1. Workplace Technology & Digital Employee Experience
  • Lead workplace technology platforms supporting collaboration, productivity, endpoint, and digital employee experience solutions

  • Partner with business, HR, and IT leaders to deliver intuitive, reliable, and secure workplace tools that enable associate productivity

  • Drive standardization, modernization, and lifecycle management of workplace platforms and services

  1. Engineering & Service Reliability & Operational Excellence
  • Champion a reliability first culture focused on automation, AIOps, self-healing systems, and measurable service outcomes

  • Establish and maintain SLOs and SLIs across cloud, network, and workplace platforms

  • Lead global incident response in partnership with Security Operations and the Technology Experience Center

  1. Strategy, Architecture & Cross Functional Leadership
  • Shape platform and workplace technology strategies aligned to Marriott’s long term digital and business transformation initiatives

  • Ensure secure by design engineering practices in partnership with Global Information Security

  • Partner with continent, business, and product leaders to align technology platforms with global market needs

  1. Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead a large global organization spanning Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, SRE, Observability, Global Networks, and Workplace Technology

  • Build and develop high performing, diverse leadership teams

  • Manage organizational planning, workforce strategy (FTE & FLEX), budgets, and vendor relationships

  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
