Overview

Logistics Support Specialist – Configuration Management & Records Support Program Analyst (C80-2026-24768):

Bowhead Program Management & Operations seeks a Logistics Support Specialist – Configuration Management & Records Support Program Analyst will support configuration management processes, records management initiatives, logistics documentation, database maintenance, and technical data library operations within the Configuration Management Virtual Environment (CMVE) and associated systems.

The role requires coordination with Government logistics leads, department leadership, and technical personnel to maintain documentation, manage records, and support IT and logistics initiatives.

Responsibilities

job duties to include but not limited to:

Configuration Management & Process Documentation

  • Perform periodic reviews and updates of Configuration Management (CM) Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) desk guides and process guides .

  • Collaborate with Government Logistics Leads to develop and maintain operational desk guides.

  • Support deliverables associated with CDRL A002 .

Logistics Documentation & OM&S Support

  • Assist with logistics documentation supporting systems logistics strategies and logistics posture.

  • Coordinate transportation support activities as required.

  • Support Government logistics processes related to Operations, Maintenance, and Supply (OM&S) documentation.

  • Provide documentation and logistics support aligned with CDRL A002 .

Records Management Support

  • Assist NSWCCD personnel with ongoing records management initiatives .

  • Receive, arrange, store, preserve, and safeguard records.

  • Provide reference and retrieval services for archived records.

  • Create and manage Configuration Management Virtual Environment (CMVE) processes for maintaining electronic records.

  • Establish and document workflows through the CMVE Process Workflow Engine and repositories .

  • Provide data management services to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable reporting.

  • Support CDRL A002 and A008 deliverables.

Electronic and Paper Document Organization

  • Organize and maintain electronic files and document structures across NSWCCD systems.

  • Maintain electronic and physical document archives for programs and projects.

  • Ensure documentation is accessible and compliant with records retention policies.

General IT and Configuration Management Support

  • Provide technical support for Configuration Management IT initiatives .

  • Assist with information systems development and integration activities.

  • Support efforts across multiple technical areas including:

  • Data analysis

  • Systems development

  • Systems testing and deployment

  • Quality assurance (QA)

  • Configuration management

  • Systems documentation

  • Provide technical and administrative support for development tasks.

  • Review work products for accuracy, adherence to design concepts, and compliance with user standards.

  • Ensure progress aligns with established schedules and milestones.

  • Support CDRL A002, A004, A007, and A008 .

Database Support

  • Provide maintenance support for the CMVE application database .

  • Support software configuration management and software delivery processes.

  • Perform quality assurance checks and troubleshooting activities.

  • Assist with database updates and system performance monitoring.

  • Support CDRL A002, A007, and A008 .

Technical Data Library Support

  • Maintain CMPRO document and drawing repositories .

  • Ensure proper storage, version control, and accessibility of technical documentation.

  • Support document lifecycle management processes.

Meeting, Conference, and Event Support

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings and conferences.

  • Develop presentations, brochures, and informational materials.

  • Coordinate event registrations and displays.

  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and discussion summaries.

  • Support CDRL A002, A004, and A006 deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field , or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience supporting logistics, configuration management, or information systems in a government or defense environment.

  • Experience with records management and document control systems .

  • Knowledge of configuration management principles and processes .

  • Experience supporting database or information systems maintenance .

  • Strong technical documentation and process development skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Naval Surface Warfare Centers or Department of Defense programs .

  • Familiarity with CMVE, CMPRO, or similar configuration/document management systems .

  • Knowledge of CDRL deliverable processes .

  • Experience with data management, workflow automation, or digital repositories .

  • Prior experience with logistics documentation and lifecycle logistics support .

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
