Lockheed Martin Global Medical Services - Quality Assurance and Compliance Lead in Bethesda, Maryland

Description: The Quality Assurance and Compliance Lead will report to the Global Medical Services (GMS) Business Operations Sr Mgr and will provide administrative oversight, tactical operations support, and strategic execution of key programs within GMS.

The core responsibility of this role is ensuring contract compliance and quality standards for more than 20 Wellness Centers across the United States, aligning services with Lockheed Martin’s expectations and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong business sense, excellent communication skills, experience managing large-scale projects, and ability to deliver results independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of healthcare business operations and financial structures is preferable, and a solid understanding of basic medical language is necessary. This individual must foster an environment of collaboration across multiple disciplines and internal and external businesses.

In addition, the following are expected:

• Works with the GMS team, including the Chief Medical Officer and business area medical directors, as well as the contracted medical group to maintain Wellness Center activities within accepted guidelines, regulations, policies, practices and ethical expectations

• Consults with contracted medical group leadership to ensure exceptional Wellness Center performance through effective daily operations, workflows, scope of services, staffing models and LM stakeholder relationships. Must become a trusted partner while pursuing organizational goals and objectives

• Liaisons with business area and corporate functional stakeholders as well as the contracted medical group to identify, assess and resolve issues and mitigate risks

• Assists in instituting the strategic plan, identifying process improvement opportunities, and presenting recommendations in alignment with OneLM and 1LMX

• Participates in the development of new programs that support the organization's objectives

• Reviews and coordinates the release of communications to contracted leadership and employees, identifying opportunities to promote health and associated LM resources

• Creates and maintains procedures, job aids, and training to support the needs of Lockheed Martin

• Assists in tracking, calibrations, replacements, and donations of medical equipment as needed

• Work closely with the entire GMS management team to promote Environment, Safety, Health, and Sustainability goals and objectives

• Travels to LM medical facilities and key meetings to conduct business and facilitate communication and compliance

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

• Ability to understand and provide solutions to complex issues related to health care delivery both locally, nationally and on a global scale

• Ability to translate medical outcomes to business benefits

• Skilled in communicating with all levels of staff, from executives to individual contributors

• Capable of budget and expense management

• Knowledge of health care regulatory and licensing policies and procedures

• Experience accessing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), or other industry standards

• Ability to manage contracted staff as required to maintain, update and terminate past medical records across multiple software platforms

• US Citizenship is required for this role, as is the ability to travel freely in and out of the US

• Previous experience working in complex, matrixed organizations

• Demonstrated experience working across organizational boundaries

• Experience managing multiple, cross-functional projects

• Excellent computer skills (internet, spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software)

• Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required

• Training skills preferred

• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $103,700 - $179,860. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
