Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing invoice processing, coding, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Accurately code invoices according to company guidelines.
• Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Handle check runs and ensure payments align with deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or inquiries.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in invoice coding and processing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting certifications are a plus.
