County of Sullivan Lifeguard in Bethel, New York
Overview: The Sullivan County Parks, Recreation and Beautification is seeking a Lifeguard for the 2026 summer season at Lake Superior State Park, Bethel, NY.
The Lifeguard position performs routine patrol work at a bathing beach, looking after the safety and welfare of the bathers; does related work as required.
- Must possess current Lifeguarding, First Aid & CPR/AED Certifications with Waterfront Skills module.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be at least fifteen years of age and must possess a current American Red Cross Advanced Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED with Waterfront Skills Certificate. All certificates must be kept current throughout the period of employment.
Salary: $20.80 hourly
- Hours include weekends and holidays.
- MUST be available to work through Labor Day.
Background Investigation: Applicant may be required to undergo a State and National criminal history background investigation, which will include a fingerprint check, to determine suitability for appointment. Failure to meet the standards for the background investigation may result in disqualification.
