AFC Industries Inc. Maintenance Manager in Berwick, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

AFC Industries PA, Inc. a manufacturing company located in Berwick, PA is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team. We are a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of Ergonomic Interactive Technical products for various industries. Our customers include Medical/Healthcare, Public Safety/Mission Control, All Government Agencies, IT and Financial Corporations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance programs to support safe and reliable operations.
  2. Oversee, direct, and schedule maintenance team activities in alignment with the manufacturing schedule.
  3. Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment and facility systems.
  4. Inspect, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues; conduct root-cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.
  5. Repair, rebuild, and/or replace manufacturing and facility equipment as needed.
  6. Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time and all work is properly documented.
  7. Maintain adherence to safety standards and ensure proper use of tools, machinery, and mobile equipment.
  8. Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality teams to resolve maintenance issues and improve operational efficiency.
  9. Train and support team members, helping to develop technical skills and capabilities of less experienced personnel.
  10. Update and maintain SOPs and work instructions to reflect current processes and best practices.
  11. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and overall plant performance.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
  2. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply maintenance and repair techniques.
  3. Experience with HVAC and electrical issues/repairs
  4. Capability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
  7. Commitment to safety practices and following established procedures.
