Talen Energy Internal Communications Specialist in Berwick, Pennsylvania

How You’ll Power the Future

At Talen Energy, your work fuels progress. In this role, you’ll do more than contribute you’ll drive meaningful change by:

  • Develop and distribute internal communications such as newsletters, safety/tailboard packages, and plant updates.

  • Produce leadership video messages, scripts, and multimedia content.

  • Support communication needs during outages, drills, and emergency preparedness activities.

  • Create and manage digital content for internal platforms and signage.

  • Assist with external communication, community outreach, and media coordination.

  • Collaborate with plant leadership and subject matter experts to ensure clear, accurate, consistent messaging.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of communications experience; utility or industrial experience preferred.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills; ability to simplify complex topics.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic video editing tools.

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to work in a regulated, fast‑paced environment.
