Fire Sprinkler Inspector

  • Berthoud, CO

  • As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings and facilities by inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems. This position requires a strong understanding of fire codes, standards, and regulations, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems.

  • Sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge)

  • Fire pumps and controllers

  • Standpipe systems

  • Emergency lighting systems

  • Portable fire extinguishers

  • Kitchen suppression systems (where applicable)

  • Special Hazards systems (where applicable)

  • Identify deficiencies and non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, test results, and recommendations.

  • Interpret and apply relevant fire codes and standards, such as NFPA, IFC, and local regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding fire safety requirements and inspection results.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

  • Stay up to date on the latest fire protection technologies, codes, and regulations.

  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 2+ years of experience in fire protection system installation or inspection, testing, and maintenance.

  • Possess relevant State and/or National certifications, where applicable.

  • Denver License

  • Alarm CSA Exam

  • Strong knowledge of fire codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC, IBC).

  • Familiarity with various fire protection systems and equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.

Job Type:Full-time

Pay:$35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
