Job Responsibilities for Experienced and Inexperienced Miners:

  • General labor
  • Roller and screen changes
  • Belt work
  • Steel sets
  • Overcasts
  • Jacks
  • Seal preparation
  • Pumpable cribs
  • Scoop operating
  • Bolting
  • Other laborer duties as required

Job Requirements Experienced and Inexperienced Miners:

  • Underground AL Experienced Miner or Apprentice Miner Certification in state of AL Required.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to work any shifts, including weekends and holidays required.
  • Ability to pass background and drug and alcohol testing required. 7 year background check.
  • Distinct aptitudes to perform job duties with care, commitment, passion and pride.
  • Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work 40+ swing shift schedule as needed that may include working a different mine location.
  • Ability to utilize different task training and to work on weekends as required.
  • Team member mentality with ability to follow all safety regulations that includes wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Lift Carry capability or to lift 50lbs.
  • Bend and twist carry capability of 40+ lbs.
  • Equipment/material carry capability including up/down stairs.
  • Multiple-limb coordination, near/far vision, manual dexterity, climbing capability, long-distance walking capability.
