Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. *SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: *Must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 75 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.

 *JOB DUTIES: *Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Multiple contract dates available. Alternative start date(s) include: 02/25/2026 (1 workers); 04/24/2026 (3 workers). The exact start date and/or number of workers may vary based on weather, crop conditions or other factors. Crops/Commodities: Diversified vegetables, fruits, herbs, livestock, including poultry/eggs, pigs. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): Plant, cultivate, harvest and pack vegetables, fruits, herbs. Use hand tools including, but not limited to: shovels, hoes and knives. Plant roots, seeds and bulbs. Spread plastic or other ground covering. Clean plastic by hand from ground upon removal. Till soil. Weed and thin plants. Transplant plants by hand. Stake/tie plants, trellis/prune plants, and set poles and wires for vine plants. Pick, cut, lift, or pull crops. Tie vegetables in bunches. Grade, size and field pack product. Take care to prevent damaging produce and plants. Manage seedlings and transplants in greenhouses, high tunnels and cold frames, including seeding, watering, temperature control and ventilation. Till, broad fork, plow and amend fields with compost and fertilizers based on soil test results. Manual and mechanical planting of seeds directly into the field or transplanting seedlings from the greenhouse to the field. Hand-pulling weeds within crop rows. Using wheel hoes, stirrup hoes or tractor-mounted implements to manage weeds in between rows. Clean, sort, grade and package produce into various containers to meet quality and food safety standards; assist with loading and unloading trucks for market set up and take down, managing inventory; may work at farmers' markets or CSA programs, manage CSA box assembly, pack wholesale orders. Move produce to appropriate cold storage or coolers immediately after harvest to maintain freshness. Track harvest data, manage stock levels and ensure proper rotation of produce. Perform manual and/or mechanized duties associated with the care, and raising of livestock, including pigs and poultry. Feed and water livestock. Clean, maintain, repair houses and enclosures. Collect eggs. Plan irrigation schedules. Install/maintain irrigation infrastructure (drip tape, hoses, pumps, sprinklers). Move and install irrigation pipes and equipment. Dig and maintain ditches. Install and remove levee gates. Monitor crops for pests and disease and apply biological or chemical controls(pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other crop protectants), following all safety protocols and record-keeping requirements. Apply fertilizers, plant growth chemicals, conditioners, and other plant related treatments at the correct times depending on plant type, growth, climate and crop conditions. Operate, maintain and repair farm tools and tractors. Workers must operate all equipment properly and in a manner that protects operator, others, the employer's products and property.
