Micromatic LLC Machinist, Senior in Berne, Indiana
Position Summary
This position will machine parts with CNC machines to the drawings and blueprint specifications to meet customer requirements. Must possess the skills necessary to perform duties. Must also possess the necessary precision equipment/tools to perform the duties of this position.
Essential Job Functions
Ability to operate machines to tier level
Machine parts to required tolerances
Inspect parts as necessary to meet quality requirements using devices such as calipers, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges
Perform all necessary hand operations such as filing, fitting, and scraping
Checks dispatch list for next job
Cleans machine table & machine
Sweeps floor and mop
Record labor for job by keying data into terminal
Any additional job tasks assigned by management
Education
High School or equivalent
Machine Trade School Certification or equivalent work experience
Applicable math background and skills
Blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Mandatory Qualification Requirements
Must be proficient in skills and knowledge identified in Tier I and II requirements
Demonstrated advanced blueprint reading skills. Must be able to interpret any blueprint no matter how complicated.
Must be proficient in CNC machines. This includes running any machine assigned, completing set-up on any job assigned using set-up instructions.
Can load programs and edit accordingly to match tool placements in the machine.
Must have a strong understanding of tool usage and be capable of determining correct tool for any application.
Must be able to troubleshoot tooling problems in case of problems with materials or finishes.
Must be able to make correct and necessary edits to any program that is being run.
