All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in the job order and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in Section A.3 & A.4. Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest diversified\ ground crops, strawberries, blueberries, flowers, and medicinal herbs and roots. Workers will perform field work and greenhouse work including planting, transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing and other tasks required for planting, maintaining, and\ harvesting. Workers will sort, wash, pack and otherwise prepare various crops for storage and shipping. Workers will assist with the planting and pruning of Christmas trees. Workers will perform other farm-related duties including the following: load and\ unload trucks and other farm vehicles, set up and operate irrigation equipment, and cut brush and other vegetation in and around fields, buildings and equipment. Workers may also cut and split wood for heating greenhouses and perform maintenance\ on farm buildings and equipment. Workers may be asked to operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to\ place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis. Workers that are requested to drive will be required\ to possess a valid drivers license; no worker will be rejected for not having a driver\'s license. Workers who do drive will still perform the same field work and other duties as non-driving workers; driving is not a primary duty. Workers should report for\ work with their own suitable clothing and must be able and willing to work in various extreme weather conditions from damp and cold spring and fall days to hot and humid summer days. The work assigned will be physically demanding, walking,\ bending, stooping and kneeling for long periods of time will be required. Workers must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently. The employer will provide 1 day of training and allow 2 days of work for the workers to satisfactorily perform duties\ described in this job description. The employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform assigned duties. Workers must be available to work 9-hour shifts within the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm window Monday\ through Friday and may be required to work 10-hour shifts within the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm window on Saturday. This totals 55 hours per week. The 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM range accounts for farm conditions (e.g., weather or crop readiness) to ensure\ workers complete the required hours. Workers will not work a full 12-hour shift. The daily or weekly work schedules may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, farm conditions, and other factors. The employer will notify workers of any change to\ the schedule. Workers will be given at least a 30-minute lunch break which is staggered between 11am - 1pm as decided by the workers and management. Workers may choose where to eat their lunch and return to work after their 30 minutes are up.\ Workers must be able to operate agricultural equipment safely and must be able to take directions in simple English
