Job Description Summary
GE Grid Automation unit in Berlin, Germany is an emerging and growing business in the field of protection relays, CCS and DCS solutions for distribution, transmission and industry sectors of energy market. The region in which we operate includes Germany, Poland, Czech and Slovak Republics, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Moldova. Job Description
We are now looking for candidates to strengthen our engineering team.
The main responsibilities for this position are:
Configuration, testing and on-site commissioning of GE P&C solutions,
technical support for the project management team, as well as sales and tendering,
Qualifications:
Education:
- Technical High School Diploma of a relevant faculty of protection & automation in energy systems; or equivalent knowledge or experience
Experience:
experience in power systems, specifically transmission, in the field of protection relays;
knowledge of HV/MV systems, incl. bus bar applications, standards, specifications, requirements, communication protocols, etc.;
experience in computer networks, switches, routers, gateways, etc. will be a plus
acquaintance of GE range of HV/MV protection relays i.e. Micom Px40, Multilin UR, 8 series will be a plus;
interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse groups of stakeholders, both external and internal;
Specific knowledge:
Languages: English to effectively communicate with multinational customers and other GE functions abroad; German would
Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information;
The position involves travelling to customers’ sites home and abroad 50% of working time.
