Are you ready to shape the future of streaming in EMEA and beyond? As Director, Distribution & Business Development Strategy for the Direct to Consumer Segment in EMEA, youll be at the heart of our mission by defining and executing the distribution strategy for both streaming platforms, PlutoTV and Paramount+. Youll work in close alignment with our Global team and playbook, while defining the strategy for business development, distribution and partnerships in EMEA.
The position plays a critical role in aligning global priorities with local market realities and revenue generation. While the role operates at a strategic level, it also requires a hands-on approach to analytics, deal evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure initiatives are translated into tangible business results.
Success in this role depends on the ability to combine structured data-based strategic thinking with strong execution, working effectively within a complex, matrixed organization and navigating diverse market dynamics across EMEA.
What will you be doing?
This leader establishes strategy, processes, frameworks and guidelines for partnerships in EMEA. The role works closely with local and central partnership teams to identify, evaluate, and secure high-impact partnership opportunities that drive revenue, user growth, and brand presence.
The Director will bring a strong analytical mindset, the ability to structure complex problems based on data, and experience influencing senior stakeholders. This is a highly collaborative role requiring both strategic insight and practical execution across multiple functions and markets.
You will have an inherent curiosity and be an innovative thinker with the ability to see the big picture, present and future, and explore those possibilities with a finger on the pulse of the streaming industry across all functions.
Main Responsibilities
1.Strategy & Planning
Support the definition and evolution of the EMEA distribution & partnership strategy in alignment with global priorities and guidelines.
Evaluate EMEA streaming markets and lead analysis of existing and new partnerships together with local teams.
Support the framing of the EMEA distribution strategy based on data and business acumen.
2. Partnerships & Business Development
Define partnership strategies across EMEA, including evaluation of commercial and other partner deals in line with global strategy and finance playbook.
Align closely with the global and regional teams to ensure perspectives and market needs are reflected in all local and multi-regional deals and partnerships.
Manage process of screening and evaluation of new business opportunities with EMEA BD teams.
Review and recommend partnership approaches, including innovative and non-traditional opportunities.
3. Analytics & Performance
Work with the BI team to review performance dashboards & key metrics, creating recommendations and strategies that maximize revenues, users and viewership.
Support status and QBR reports with Commercial Partnership, BI and Finance teams.
Analyze partnership performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Develop quantitative models to assess deal value and potential impact.
Monitor user growth and distribution effectiveness to inform ongoing strategy.
4.Leadership & Governance
Prepare clear decision-making documents and executive presentations for senior leadership.
Present distribution results, business cases, and strategic recommendations to regional and global stakeholders.
Partner with Product, Marketing, and Ad Sales teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Collaborate with teams to continuously improve and optimize processes and ways of working.
What are we looking for?
Key requirements
Several years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Consulting, Investment Banking, or a fast-growth technology/media environment.
Experience in streaming, digital media, advertising technology, or related industries is strongly preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated expertise in developing complex quantitative models and advanced analytical techniques, as well as developing strong narratives & insights for executive presentations.
Strong project management skills, proactive, self-starter and independent thinker, sense of personal ownership; committed to quality, accuracy, and timelines.
Experience managing senior stakeholders in a matrix organization.
Strong Paramount culture fit. Especially a person who values Courage, Creativity and Resilience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional European languages are strongly preferred.
Willingness to travel for partner and internal meetings as required.
