Insight Global System Engineer in Berkeley, Missouri
Job Description
A customer of Insight Global is looking to add an System Engineer to their team in the Berkely, MO area. This person will partner closely with system architects, engineering subject‑matter experts, and program leadership to implement, develop, and manage the Systems Engineering and MBSE approach across aircraft and defense programs. You’ll support both early development and integration efforts on newer programs (such as fighter and training systems) as well as verification‑focused work on more mature platforms. Day to day, you’ll support cross‑functional engineering teams to meet program milestones, customer reviews, and delivery commitments. Your work will include requirements decomposition, requirements development, verification planning, traceability management, system architecture development, trade studies, interface definition, risk management, and verification and test planning. You’ll help drive the adoption of MBSE and digital engineering practices, capturing systems engineering artifacts within the system model as appropriate, and collaborate across disciplines to design, integrate, and verify complex aircraft systems in a fast‑paced, onsite environment.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Math, Data Science, or Computer Science
5+ years of overall engineering experience, with a strong focus on Systems Engineering
Background with requirements verification, validation, and traceability
Aircraft and/or Systems Engineering background with working knowledge of aircraft systems
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple engineering teams
Ability to work 100% onsite in a fast‑paced, program‑driven environment Experience supporting defense programs, including tactical aircraft, mission systems, or weapon systems
Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, including SysML tools such as MSOSA (or similar)
Familiarity with DOORS, JIRA, and Confluence
Active Secret Clearance (or active within the last 24 months)
