Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to support the Tooling & Emergent Operations (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and manage manufacturing teams to achieve production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
Develop and implement manufacturing processes, workflows, and best practices to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with Boeing’s safety, quality, and environmental policies.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support product development and resolve manufacturing issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to reduce waste and improve processes.
Manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management.
Oversee training and development of manufacturing personnel to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
Ensure adherence to regulatory and customer requirements, including FAA/DCMA and other aerospace standards.
Lead problem-solving efforts and root cause analysis for manufacturing defects or delays.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
3+ years of experience working in a tooling, manufacturing or fabrication environment
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
3+ years of experience applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
3+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Aerospace tooling and/ or equipment drawings
Experience leading Boeing’s Production Systems
Experience in metal parts fabrication and/or machine shop processes
Experience leading cross functional teams
Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar planning software

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $111,350-150,650 USD
