Job Title: Packaging Associate

Job Description

As a Packaging Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling various packaging tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Verify that de-molded products meet all specifications, including appearance, weight, and packaging requirements.

  • Operate or assist with wrapping machines, grinding equipment for shredding chocolate bars, and bagging equipment.

  • Complete tasks efficiently while ensuring quality and safety procedures are upheld.

  • Return excess materials to the designated warehouse area.

  • Shrink-wrap or cover unwrapped chocolate on the rack.

  • Monitor equipment to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any issues to management or maintenance.

  • Do not attempt to repair equipment without authorization.

  • Consistently meet Quality Assurance, Sanitation, and Safety standards.

  • during, and end of each shift.

  • Ensure all products are verified and clearly labeled.

  • Communicate and implement company policies and procedures, and suggest improvements for efficiency, packaging, quality, and workflow.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide support to leads and team members in other departments as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with GMP, packaging, and general production tasks.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Familiarity with food production, particularly in the chocolate manufacturing industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food production is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
