ALLOY ENGINEERING COMPANY Welder Fabricator in Berea, Ohio

Alloy Engineering in Berea is a 100% employee-owned, diverse fabricator specializing in high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloys. We are seeking an experienced Master Welder skilled in MIG/TIG fabrication who can plan, lay out, and execute advanced welding on stainless steel and nickel alloys in various positions for large, complex projects.

Reports to: Welding Supervisor

Essential Functions:

  • Perform GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding on steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys.
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble large-scale components according to project requirements.
  • Read and interpret advanced blueprints and welding symbols with accuracy.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and consistently meet project timelines.
  • Ensure quality workmanship that meets or exceeds ASME and AWS standards.
  • Operate, maintain, and utilize fabrication tools and measuring equipment effectively.

  • Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Accountability for assigned projects, with minimal oversight needed for non-ASME work.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to team attendance standards.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and continually refine welding skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably in large fabrication.
  • At least one certification in GMAW or GTAW
  • Proficiency with fabrication measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Ability to fabricate from blueprints
  • Ability to apply basic math skills, including fraction-to-decimal conversions.
  • Must provide personal basic tools (e.g., tape measure, combination square, wrenches, weld hood, wire cutters).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in heavy or large-scale fabrication environments.
