Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Manufacturing Engineering Technician II (2nd Shift) based at our Berea, KY manufacturing plant.

What you will do:

  • Develop,maintain, and improve standard work instructions, process documentation, and visual aids to support fabrication, paint, and assembly operations.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues on the shop floor, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.

  • Apply manufacturing and industrial engineering principles to improve methods, line layouts, ergonomics, material flow, and labor balance.

  • Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to reduce defects, variation, and waste while improving process stability.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including kaizen events and problem‑solving activities focused on quality, safety, and cost.

  • Assistwith theselection, installation, startup, and validation of tools, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring processes are capable and repeatable.

  • Support new product introductions by reviewing designs for manufacturability,establishingassembly processes, and training operators on standard work.

  • A hands-on, collaborative problem solver who enjoys working directly with production and quality teams on the shop floor.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, usable documentation and standard work.

  • Comfortable analyzing issues,identifyingroot causes, and driving practical, sustainable solutions.

  • An effective communicator who can train, coach, and influence others across multiple levels of the organization.

  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you will need:

  • A 2‑year technical degree with at least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience

  • 7+ years of relevant manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree

Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • Experience supporting manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixtures, materials, and process documentation

  • Ability to apply continuous improvement and quality principles to reduce defects, variation, and waste

  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions

  • Experience improving workstation layouts, ergonomics, material flow, and labor balance

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office tools for documentation, analysis, and presentations

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with operators, engineers, quality teams, and leadership
