As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Your Role
The intern supports the deployement of Production System, Kuehne+Nagel's continuous improvement program, at our warehousing operation for an automotive customer.
Focus is the preparation of operational excellence standards and participation in continuous improvement and sustainability projects with the aim to build a Continuous Improvement culture.
Main responsibilities
Support the deployment of Operational Excellence Standards and lean methodology on site (5S, Visual Management, Continuous Improvement Boards, Stand-up meetings following SQCDEP methodology…)
Participate to continuous improvement projects to improve KPI / Productivity
Support sustainability projects, i.e.: reduce plastic in operations
Follow and validate Cycle Time measurements of key processes
Work together with the site management team to define work in progress areas and consumables inventory management;
