Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production equipment. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the plant's uptime and run-time efficiency. The successful candidate will perform tasks that involve troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical devices as part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan.
Responsibilities
Perform all tasks safely and in compliance with LO/TO policy.
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment problems and continuously monitor electrical and mechanical devices.
Locate electrical trouble using multi-meter, amp meter, and replace defective electrical equipment.
Assist in contacting vendors for equipment assistance.
Review work orders, seek clarification, and confer with requestors as needed.
Originate and process emergency work orders.
Order parts for repair and maintenance with assistance from the maintenance engineering team.
Perform daily preventive maintenance.
Act as a group leader during preventive maintenance shutdowns.
Document all equipment modifications made during repairs.
Maintain knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
Service pumps, boilers, piping, and related equipment.
Suggest maintenance items for preventive maintenance shutdowns.
Assist in writing and updating standard maintenance procedures.
Stay informed of process changes affecting equipment operation.
Perform small installations and equipment modification projects.
Record measurements during maintenance activities to generate statistical charts for analysis.
Provide training to operations technicians in maintenance activities.
Maintain a team effort attitude and assist in training other technicians.
Adhere to departmental rules, regulations, and procedures.
Serve as a resource to Production Tech and Plant Leadership in resolving customer complaints.
Fulfill tasks outlined in daily task lists.
Serve as a member of the Emergency Response team with required training in Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/BBP, and Fire Extinguisher use.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
Ability to positively impact Run-Time Efficiency (RTE) and total plant uptime.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Benson, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $66560.00/yr.
Retirement: A 401(k) savings plan allows contributions up to 50% of compensation, with a discretionary non-elective contribution from the company (7.0% in 2024 and 2023). Health & Insurance: Medical, dental, and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are provided. Paid Time Off: Benefits include vacation and paid holidays.
