Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, running electric and airlines, and potentially assisting with the installation of new machinery. The technician must read work orders and specifications to determine the machines and equipment requiring maintenance or repair, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and on time.
Responsibilities
Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
Prioritize assignments based on importance and task order.
Assist with the installation of new machinery.
Follow all safety rules and regulations, especially around press operations.
Demonstrate and teach newer employees proper machine usage and correct safety measures.
Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience in preventive maintenance and repair.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and 3-phase power systems.
Experience with conveyor systems and plastics injection molding.
Familiarity with voltmeters for checking voltages up to 480V.
Understanding of relays, motors, motor contactors, and transformers.
Experience with installing and testing electrical circuits and basic wiring.
Ability to read wiring schematics.
Proficiency in testing and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in the printing/thermoforming industry.
Ability to read part drawings.
Experience in fabricating simple parts using a drill, drill press, or manual mill.

Work Environment
The work environment is very clean with 18 thermoforming lines across the facility, with one side dedicated to medical customers.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensenville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.
