Dartmouth Health Nutrition Assistant, Nutrition and Dining in Bennington, Vermont
Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Nutrition Assistants to support our dietary and food service operations within the hospital settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food handling, preparation, and sanitation, with a focus on processing and delivering patient meal requests.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of individuals through attentive meal service, dietary assistance, and maintaining a safe and clean food environment.
Duties
Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual needs.
Delivering patient meals to the bedside or the patient and using a tablet to take there meal orders following the dietary guidelines.
Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas regularly. Such as washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, all duties of kitchen cleanliness
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold food safety regulations and prevent contamination.
Requirements:
High school Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Prior Food preparation and or direct customer service experience preferred
Able to multitask in a busy kitchen and maintain a clean kitchen
Able to deliver patient meals and use a tablet and phone to take patient food orders
Ability to work rotating weekends and rotating holidays

Pay Range:$17.00-$19.00;
