Overview
The Vermont Veterans\' Home (VVH) is a skilled nursing facility committed to providing care to our veterans and members with the dignity and respect that they so rightfully deserve. VVH is seeking compassionate and motivated Nurse Supervisors for the evening shift and night shifts.
VVH provides best of class healthcare services to Veterans, their spouses and gold star parents while honoring their choices and respecting their right of self-determination. We provide person-centered care and all residents/families are encouraged to be active participants. We provide clinical oversight along with a wide range of services for long term and short stay admissions.
\ Nursing supervisors work with the resident providers, administration and manage nursing care plans, risk management, as well as instruct patients and their families in proper treatment for the highest level of function/quality of life. Our Nurse Supervisor performs supervisory, advisory and clinical care functions at VVH for the population of patients during the assigned shift. The incumbent ensures the provision of a full range of services to veterans and members with a variety of needs. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for high level clinical decision-making and provides leadership to clinical and non-clinical staff.
The evening shift hours are 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, including every other weekend and overtime. Shift differentials of \$2.00/hr for evenings worked Monday through Friday, and \$4.50/hr for Saturday and Sunday will apply.
The night shift position is 11:00 pm to 7:30 am including every other weekend and overtime. Shift differentials of \$4.00/hr Monday through Friday and \$6.50/hr on the weekends will apply.
Starting hourly rate may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Environmental Factors
Duties primarily performed in a clinical and office setting. Work may require travel off-site. Exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, potentially physically and verbally violent patient population and other stressful situations may occur. May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and extended shifts as the need arises.
