ALPHA CAM Programmer (Consultant)

Compensation: $45+/hour
We are looking for an experienced APLHA CAM Programmer (Consultant) to support our engineering and production teams on a short‑term project. You will be responsible for converting CAD drawings into optimized CNC toolpaths using AutoCAD and/or Cabinet Vision. This role is ideal for someone with strong woodworking or millwork programming experience who can work independently and deliver accurate, efficient CNC programs.
Responsibilities:
Convert CAD drawings (.dxf) into optimized CNC toolpaths and output files (.cix, .ard).
Improve machining efficiency by recommending toolpath and workflow enhancements.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to test, validate, and refine programs.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency across all programmed parts.
Essential Skills
Proven CNC programming experience, including ALPHA Mastercam .
Strong understanding of CNC routers and woodworking/millwork processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Minimum 3 years of CAM programming experience in a millwork or woodworking environment.

Work Environment
This is a remote consulting role with periodic check‑ins via Microsoft Teams or phone. Our production work takes place in a large, fast‑paced warehouse environment where fixtures are built and assembled.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
