Summary:
In this role, you will be working with our best-in-class IT Operations team, which drives operational excellence and continued automation in supporting business applications. This role will partner with key functional stakeholders, product team members, engineering, and other arms of our business to deliver deep technical domain expertise driven solutions within the Transport Logistics application portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with third-party service and support vendors to ensure maximum uptime and prompt problem remediation
Monitor network, compute, and SaaS application availability and performance, owning incident response from an IT operations perspective
Assist SaaS application engineering teams with production and non-production networking/compute requests and troubleshooting as application features evolve
Define and maintain repeatable reference documentation for infrastructure and operational process SOP’s
Design and exercise SaaS application disaster recovery regularly throughout the year
Craft automation for repeatable processes to help department scale efficiently
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of broad network and compute operational support experience with diverse environments
Certification and/or familiarity with VMWare enterprise solutions, including HA and resource quota configurations
Certification and/or familiarity with different compute/storage technologies: HP, Dell, Pure Storage
Certification and or familiarity with a broad range of operating systems: Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, OEL, etc), Windows (2003 – 2022, XP – Win11)
Certification and/or familiarity with a broad range of authentication/authorization technologies: SAML, OKTA, Active Directory, LDAP, etc
Certification and/or familiarity with a broad range of networking equipment design and configurations: Cisco, Aryaka, ASA, Fortinet, F5, etc
Familiarity with broad range of infrastructure monitoring tools: Wire Shark, Solar Winds, Splunk, DataDog, LGTM, etc
Familiarity with design and troubleshooting of common client/server technologies: IIS, Apache, PostgresDB, etc
Familiarity with AWS/on-prem hybrid environment design concepts and troubleshooting
Familiarity with automation languages/frameworks: Ansible, Powershell, Chef, etc
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Capable of establishing strong relationships and trust with business management teams and users alike
Willing to embrace change and manage or influence required activities to reach desired outcomes
Proven ability to deliver while under tight timelines
Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and solve complex problems
Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written
Eligibility Requirements:
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% as required
Be part of a 3 team-member rotation for afterhours on-call
Physical Demands:
Employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
Employee is regularly required to look at computer screen.
Work Environment:
- The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
SALARY RANGE
The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
