Honeywell Sr Strategic Plan Specialist in Bengaluru, India
As a Sr. Strategic Planning Specialist here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, financial and competitive intelligence, conducting market research and analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives. Your strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to influence and inspire others will be essential in contributing to the growth and success of Honeywell. You will will be a key member of the Aerospace Corporate Strategy team and work out of our Bangalore, India location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
Maintain robust Earnings summaries for Aerospace competitors/customers every cycle
Create on demand financial analysis to compare performance vs. Honeywell Aerospace
Build Trading / Transaction comparables for multiples based analysis
Analyze Business unit financials and identify value creation drivers.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
Lead analysis on markets, competitors, and products within the Aerospace sector.
Maintain Newsletter cadence and improve quality of report outs
Track competitor’s financial performance, strategy and positioning
Continuously absorb industry news to evolve into an Aerospace Strategy expert.
Thought Leadership
Develop long-term industry outlooks and thematic whitepapers
Monitor macro, regulatory, and technological developments impacting the industry.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
Identify key market insights through secondary research and present assessments on segmentation, competition, value chain, and industry trends.
Support Strategic Planning (STRAP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) exercises for Aerospace business verticals.
Executive Communication
Translate complex financial insights into clear narratives, for senior leadership
Create high-impact powerpoint decks and briefing materials (without AI tools/Canva)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, product, operations, marketing) to align research with business priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
MBA/PGDM (Majors in Strategy/Finance/Marketing) from an accredited university
5-8 years of experience in Strategy, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Consulting
Proficiency in developing leadership presentations using PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills with comfort working on large datasets in Excel to derive insights.
Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative perspectives into clear frameworks.
Strong business sense, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capability.
Ability to independently operate without supervision, develop analysis, and formulate points of view for leadership reviews.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Aerospace/Defense/Space industry knowledge is a strong plus
