BlackRock ServiceNow Developer - Technology and Operations Associate in Bengaluru, India
About this role
Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with 4+ years of hands‑on experience on the ServiceNow platform, and strong expertise in Security Incident Response (SIR) and Risk & Compliance (GRC) module.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting ServiceNow solutions with a primary focus on cyber security operations, risk management, and compliance workflows. This role is part of the Cyber Operations function and will work closely with Information Security, Risk & Compliance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR) modules, including:
End‑to‑end security incident lifecycle management
Observables, indicators, and response tasks
Playbooks and automated response workflows
Integrations with SIEM and security tools (e.g., Splunk, email ingestion, REST‑based sources)
Configure and customize Risk & Compliance (GRC) modules, including:
Risk statements, risk assessments, controls, and issues
Automated workflows, notifications, and approval processes
Risk scoring models, indicators, dashboards, and reporting
Develop and maintain core ServiceNow platform components, such as:
Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions
Script Includes, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Scheduled Jobs
Record Producers and custom tables, including scoped applications where required
Implement and maintain role‑based access control (RBAC) and follow security best practices, particularly for sensitive SIR and GRC data.
Build, support, and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, inbound email actions, and data imports.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide support for SIR and GRC‑related incidents and enhancements.
Adhere to ServiceNow development best practices, including:
Update sets and/or source control usage
Code quality, performance optimization, and reusability
Instance promotion, release management, and deployment standards
Collaborate with InfoSec, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
What the Ideal Candidate Looks Like
4+ years of ServiceNow development experience
Strong hands‑on experience with:
Security Incident Response (SIR)
Risk & Compliance (GRC) modules
Proficient in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting APIs (GlideRecord, GlideAjax, etc.)
Solid experience with:
Flow Designer and/or legacy Workflows
ServiceNow security model and ACLs
ServiceNow data model and scoped applications
Experience with integration using REST/SOAP APIs and inbound/outbound data handling
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in complex ServiceNow environments
Exposure to SIEM or security tool integrations
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery models
Good to have: ServiceNow certifications such as CIS‑SIR and/or CIS‑RC
