Responsibilities

  • Perform end‑to‑end ETL and Data Warehouse testing, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source, transformation, and target layers.

  • Validate data aggregation, marts, and dimensional models using advanced SQL and data analysis techniques.

  • Create, manage, and maintain test data to support functional, integration, and regression testing.

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data validation test scenarios.

  • Execute complex SQL queries for source‑to‑target reconciliation, data profiling, and defect analysis.

  • Review test cases, SQL scripts, and validation logic to ensure alignment to quality standards before peer reviews.

  • Actively participate in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.

  • Estimate QA effort, identify risks, and provide input for test planning and scheduling.

  • Use test management and defect tracking tools to manage test execution and report test metrics.

  • Mentor and guide junior testers, providing technical direction and best‑practice guidance.

  • Collaborate with Business, Development, and Architecture teams to resolve data quality issues and clarify requirements.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes, data quality practices, and automation adoption.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in IT projects, with at least 3+ years of hands‑on ETL and Data Warehouse testing.

  • Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing architecture, aggregation logic, and data marts.

  • Advanced SQL proficiency for data validation and analysis.

  • Solid experience in test data creation, data analysis, and data validation techniques.

  • Solid understanding and hands‑on experience with STLC and data‑centric testing methodologies.

  • Experience working with test management and defect management tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to think end‑to‑end from a business and data flow perspective.

  • Experience with test automation and scripting languages.

  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps / TFS / VSTS or similar defect management tools.

  • Exposure to data quality reporting, test metrics, and dashboards.

  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
