Wells Fargo Lead Quantitative Analytics Specialist in Bengaluru, India

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Quantitative Analytics Specialist to work as an AI/ML model validator with Model Risk Management Group.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives including creation, implementation, documentation, validation, articulation, and defense of highly statistical theory

  • Qualify monitor markets and forecast credit and operational risks

  • Strategize short and long-term objectives, and provide analytical support for a wide array of business initiatives

  • Utilize stochastic, structured securities, spread analysis, with the expertise in the theory and mathematics behind the analysis

  • Review and assess models inclusive of technical, audit, and market perspectives

  • Identify structure and scope of review

  • Enable decision making for product and marketing with broad impact and act as key participant to develop and document analytical models

  • Collaborate and consult with regulators and auditors

  • Present results of analysis and strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with model development/validation of different types of AI/ML marketing models. Good understanding of marketing strategies for lending products such as personal loans, credit cards, and mortgages.

  • Prior exposure to regulatory framework related to model risk management.

Job Expectations:

  • Perform and lead highly complex activities related to identification and quantification of model risk, test and challenge model development, implementation, and documentation

  • Use highly complex statistical, machine learning or AI related theories to quantify, analyze and manage risks related to business processes handled by marketing models to ensure adequate risk management and provide a high-quality technical report.

  • Assess, review, and validate marketing propensity models, and lead related analytics and risk‑management activities while delivering insights that support a broad range of business initiatives

  • Utilize data science and business domain expertise and perform high quality risk management assessments based on theory and mathematics behind the data

  • Contribute, lead and participate in the discussion related to analytical strategies, marketing modeling, and the steps along model development lifecycle.

  • Lead complex initiatives including creation, implementation, documentation, validation, articulation, and defense of highly statistical theory

  • Review and assess models inclusive of technical, audit, and market perspectives and ensure models comply with internal policies and regulatory standards (e.g., SR 11-7)

  • Enable decision making for product and marketing with broad impact and act as key participant to develop and document analytical models

  • Collaborate and consult with regulators and auditors.
