What We're Looking For:
Designs and develops automated tests on a variety of firmware functionalities that constitute a portion of a larger
Develops test plans (that includes test scenarios and test steps) which describes the approach to test specific firmware
Develops documentation for all the activities performed.
Participates and provides some input in project code
Participates in code reviews for the automated test code created (test APIs and automated tests)
Develop test automation tools / improve existing tools & test frameworks as deemed necessary
Work with Firmware developers / Architects in resolving the bugs identified in the projects
Work with Other senior members & manager in constantly improving the overall processes.
Develop / Execute automated and manual software / firmware
Mentor, coach & lead junior members in the team technically. Act like an Architect for the team
Reviews test results and perform root cause analysis to identify
Makes changes to existing test networks to simulate close to customer environments and supports team in reproducing / fixing bugs
Participate in creating CI / CD pipelines for the project. Analyze test failures on the build pages and provide swift fixes so that builds can be promoted to next levels
Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex Ensures compliance with quality process and standards.
Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new
Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve
Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve
Thorough understanding of prompt engineering
Atleast intermediate level understanding of using Gen AI tools available in the market and use those tools for improving efficiencies in the day to day operations of the job.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate
Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects, or
Builds productive working relationships internally and externally, across teams and across BUs’.
Preferred Work Experience (years):
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree with minimum 7 years of over all work experience
Should have proven experience in designing, developing embedded applications and test automation frameworks using python programming knowledge
Hands on working experience in developing automated test cases, test tools (writing source code to automate any task in general)
Strong working experience as a Senior SDET
Hands on working experience with Generative AI tools
Strong experience in networking concepts
Should have proven working experience in setting / modifying / updating test networks
Prior working experience in designing and developing various test tools / test automation frameworks from the scratch
Having prior experience working in Firmware engineering teams would be added advantage.
Should have prior experience working in the development organization and acting as a first quality gate in the development life cycle
Candidate to possess growth mindset and a self-starter.
Possess strong affinity towards quality and process oriented
Should be able to communicate assertively and possess prior experience working in geographically separated teams
