Honeywell Embedded Engr II in Bengaluru, India
Requisition Name: Embedded Engr II
SPS- IGS
Exp: 5-7yrs
Qualification: Degree in E&C Engineering.
- Responsibilities- Design and implement firmware for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment- Design, develop, code, test and debug system software- Review code and design- Interface with hardware design and development- Assess third party and open source software
Technical Required Skills
C/C++/Embedded C (must have)
Embedded software architecture knowledge (BSP, HAL, driver, application layers)
Must have Bootloader development and firmware upgrade mechanisms.
Hands‑on experience in Secure Boot and Secure Flash / Firmware authentication
Knowledge of cryptographic fundamentals (AES, RSA/ECC, hashing)
Experience with bare metal and RTOS‑based systems (FreeRTOS)
Protocol hands-on knowledge - UART/I2C/SPI/CAN/Ethernet IP/EtherCAT
Hands-on experience in setting up and using JTAG/SWD for Debugging/troubleshooting
Board bring‑up and hardware‑software integration experience.
Working with Linux (preferred)
Hand-on knowledge of working with Arm and non-Arm microcontrollers
Hand-on knowledge of working with Sensors and actuators
Hands on testing the embedded Software with Physical Hardwares.
Good understanding and Knowledge on PLC and working principles (Allen Bradley PLC, Lenze PLC, Siemens)
Good Understanding on Industrial Certifications like ODVA, EtherCAT etc….
Working Knowledge of Motor control algorithms (Brushed/Brushless DC, Stepper etc.)
MATLAB (good to have)
Experience with Git / Version control systems
Experience following MISRA‑C / MISRA‑C++ coding guidelines
Additional Skills:
In depth understanding of HW product development, manufacturing, simulation methods and techniques, FMEA and other DFSS/engineering principles.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with all levels of management as well as a global team.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Possess sound knowledge on PLCs, Oscilloscopes, Power source, Loads etc…
