ETS supports all aspects of revenue-generating platforms for Epsilon and sets the architectural direction for our enterprise deployments. How You’ll Make an Impact:

As the Director of Network Engineering, you will lead a globally distributed engineering organization with direct reports in both India and the United States. You will be responsible for defining, executing, and scaling Epsilon’s cloud-first network engineering strategy across on-premises and multi-cloud environments.

This role combines strategic vision, architectural leadership, operational governance, and people development across time zones. You will ensure consistent standards, processes, automation frameworks, and security models are implemented globally while building a cohesive, high-performing team culture across regions.

You will drive modernization initiatives, mature existing services, accelerate cloud adoption, standardize cross-cloud solutions, and lead proof-of-concept (POC) development for next-generation proprietary services. You will champion Automation, AI integration, and Network as a Service (NaaS), transforming networking into a scalable, programmable, intelligent global platform.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Achieve:

Global Leadership & Organizational Strategy

  • Lead and develop a global Network Engineering organization with direct reports in India and the United States.

  • Establish clear operating models, RACI frameworks, and service ownership across regions.

  • Drive consistent standards, architectural principles, and governance globally.

  • Build strong cross-regional collaboration, ensuring 24x7 coverage and seamless handoffs.

  • Develop succession planning, leadership growth, and technical depth within the team.

Cloud-First Architecture & Standardization

  • Define and execute a cloud-first network strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Standardize cross-cloud security and networking patterns, such as:

  • AWS WAF & Shield

  • Azure WAF & DDoS Protection

  • GCP Cloud Armor & Cloud IDS

  • Establish consistent design frameworks for routing, segmentation, DNS, load balancing, and firewall architectures across providers.

  • Drive modernization of legacy on-prem solutions into cloud-native architectures.

  • Ensure global alignment of hybrid connectivity models (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect).

Engineering & Operational Excellence

  • Lead lifecycle management of datacenter networking (core, edge, EVPN/VXLAN, BGP) and cloud-native networking services.

  • Mature enterprise network services including:

  • Palo Alto and cloud-native firewalls

  • Web Application Firewalls

  • DDoS protection frameworks

  • DNS services

  • Global load balancing and traffic steering

  • Drive resiliency and high-availability standards across regions.

  • Implement governance and FinOps frameworks for cost optimization across multi-cloud deployments.

Automation, AI & Network as a Service (NaaS)

  • Lead transformation to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation-first engineering using:

  • Terraform

  • Ansible / AWX

  • CI/CD pipelines

  • GitOps methodologies

  • Establish Network as a Service (NaaS) capabilities enabling self-service network provisioning.

  • Drive AI integration into network engineering processes, including:

  • Predictive performance analytics

  • Automated remediation workflows

  • Intelligent anomaly detection

  • Capacity forecasting

  • AI-assisted change validation and risk scoring

  • Build automation frameworks that work consistently across both on-prem and cloud environments.

Agile Delivery & Platform Governance

  • Own global engineering roadmaps and quarterly delivery commitments.

  • Drive strong Agile practices using Jira for backlog management, sprint execution, and executive reporting.

  • Standardize documentation and architectural blueprints in Confluence.

  • Align ServiceNow workflows with engineering delivery and change governance.

  • Define KPIs and metrics aligned to executive leadership scorecards.

Security & Compliance Alignment

  • Partner with Security and Cloud Governance teams to ensure compliance with:

  • NIST

  • ISO 27001

  • PCI DSS

  • Zero Trust architecture principles

  • Integrate Cloud Security Posture Management (e.g., Wiz) into operational workflows.

  • Ensure secure-by-design frameworks across all environments.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • 15+ years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure leadership.

  • 7+ years leading globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.

  • Proven experience managing direct reports in both India and the United States.

  • Deep expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP networking architectures.

  • Experience standardizing cross-cloud security services (WAF, DDoS, DNS, segmentation).

  • Strong datacenter networking expertise (EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, high-speed Ethernet).

  • Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks.

  • Hands-on familiarity with:

  • Jira (Agile delivery and reporting)

  • Confluence (documentation and standards)

  • ServiceNow (ITSM and change management)

  • AWX (automation orchestration)

  • Wiz (cloud security governance)

  • Experience integrating AI or AIOps into engineering workflows.

  • Strong executive communication and cross-cultural leadership skills.

  • Experience operating in large enterprise or global SaaS environments.
