Job Description Summary
Engine Dynamics is a critical domain for aircraft engines as it impacts the entire product life cycle of the engine, starting with conceptual design thru product design & certification, and field support. The main objective of the engine dynamics team is to develop a rotor dynamically stable engine ensuring safety & reliability while finding an optimal balance between performance, weight & cost. The team is critical to realizing GE Aerospace’s noble vision in developing next generation RISE (Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engine) engines.
The main responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to, perform accurate rotordynamic analysis & provide engine loads to the design teams helping with mechanical design, contribute towards technology maturation, advance state of the art of predictive methods, collaboratively work across multiple teams, organizations & global sites to share knowledge base.

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Roles Overview:
Independent execution with direction from experts on analysis & design of rotor dynamic system/sub-system assemblies for nextgen sustainable engine programs to develop technologies meeting ambitious performance & environmental goals.
Understand key business drivers, contribute towards developing program plan and deliver impactful business outcomes. Integrate work of self/team with other teams and contribute to broader business objectives.
Contribute to solving tough technical challenges, as an integral part of a collaborative global team.
Propose innovative solutions and proactively protect GE's competitive advantage by filing IP.
Present in global reviews with peers/experts, Chief Engineers Office and Systems organization.
Ensure proper documentation of technical data consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Good interpersonal skills, flexibility to work on a wide variety of problems/programs of interest to GE Aerospace.
Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
Continuous learning and constant drive for continuous improvement of tools/processes.
Contribute to/promote a culture of inclusion & diversity.
Ideal Candidate:
Should Have experience in dynamics design/analyses in gas turbine domain
Required Qualifications
9+ years of experience in mechanical design & analysis of aircraft engine models
Postgraduate in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with excellent academic background
In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
Proficiency in application of HYPERMESH, Unigraphics, NASTRAN software
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to meet stringent deadlines and commitments
Desired Characteristics
Exposure to FAA regulations and aerospace industry
Exposure to LEAN, Design For Six Sigma tools and techniques
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Aircraft engines/Gas turbine product knowledge
