Robert Half Divisional/Plant Controller in Belton, Missouri
Description We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team in Belton, Missouri. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining cost accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong expertise in manufacturing accounting to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting activities, including analysis and reporting.
• Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to support operational and financial decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations related to financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost efficiency and improve processes.
• Supervise and guide accounting staff, fostering growth and development.
• Monitor and analyze financial trends to support strategic planning and forecasting.
• Provide guidance on controllership practices and policies to maintain financial integrity. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close activities, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and cost analysis.
• Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial reports.
• Demonstrated expertise in controllership and financial management practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
