Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Beloit, WI Area

Schedule: Monday–Friday, School Hours

Pay: $30–$35 per hour (Depending on experience)

Start: ASAP

Assignment: Through End of the 2025–2026 School Year w/ opportunity to renew for next school year

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school district in the Beloit, WI area for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This school-based role supports students with diverse needs by delivering high-quality OT services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-centered, and passionate about helping children succeed in the school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services according to student IEPs

  • Support development in:

  • Fine motor skills

  • Sensory regulation

  • Visual-motor integration

  • Functional and adaptive skills

  • Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising OT

  • Collect data and accurately document services and student progress

  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families

  • Assist with screenings and evaluations as directed

  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

  • Travel within the district as needed (Float Role)

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Assistant License (WI DSPS)

  • Graduate of an accredited OTA program

  • Successful completion of the NBCOT exam (COTA credential)

  • Ability to pass required Wisconsin school background checks

Preferred

  • Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Comfort working in a collaborative, school-team environment
