Parabit Systems Inc. Bookkeeper in Bellmore, New York
Parabit Systems, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper with an emphasis on Accounts Receivable to join our Finance Team. This role supports day-to-day financial operations and ensures accurate, timely processing of transactions in support of a growing technology manufacturer and integrator.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
Process customer invoices, apply payments, and maintain accurate aging reports Monitor outstanding balances and support collection efforts as needed Ensure timely and accurate posting of deposits and related entries
Accounts Payable
Review, code, and process vendor invoices in QuickBooks Generate check runs and schedule payments in accordance with company procedures Resolve vendor discrepancies and maintain positive vendor relationships
Financial Operations & Reporting
Assist with monthly financial close, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain organized and accurate financial records in accordance with company policy Prepare routine financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
General
Support the Finance Team with special projects and cross-functional tasks Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1-4 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Ability to analyze and reconcile accounts with accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of general accounting principles and best practices Strong organization, time-management, and follow-through Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and thoroughness
