Overview
Responsibilities
Design nuclear and industrial process systems and sub-systems from concept through final design
Develop and maintain mass and energy balance models for system performance and analysis
Coordinate and integrate results from multi-discipline analyses (thermal, structural, seismic, pipe stress, heat transfer) into system design
Apply industry codes and standards (ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA) to system designs
Develop system documentation including: System Design Descriptions, Engineering Design Specifications, Interface Control Documents
Support design package development including P&IDs, 3D models, and system drawings
Coordinate across engineering disciplines (mechanical, I&C, civil, nuclear)
Provide technical oversight of suppliers and support design reviews
Support testing, validation, and system qualification activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Nuclear, or related Engineering discipline
10+ years of experience in system design and engineering
Strong background in thermodynamics, fluid systems, heat transfer, and mechanical/process systems
Experience building and maintaining mass & energy balance models (Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus)
Ability to read and develop P&IDs
Experience with complex system integration and multi-discipline coordination
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
