Robert Half Staff Accountant in Bellevue, Washington
Description
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant (Contract) to support core accounting and financial reporting functions for a Bellevue‑based organization. This role will partner closely with Finance leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial records, timely close processes, and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation and thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with month‑end and quarter‑end close activities
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
Analyze variances and research discrepancies
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
Support audit requests and documentation (internal and external)
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on accounting‑related initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2–5 years of staff accounting experience (contract or permanent)
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Experience with accounting systems/ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Workday Financials, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, basic formulas)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Professional communication and collaboration skills
