We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Android Software Engineer to join the team powering the T-Life app-T-Mobile's flagship mobile experience. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, performant, and AI-enabled Android features that reach millions of users. The Sr Software Engineer is essential for designing, implementing, and deploying scalable software solutions that meet customer requirements and support high availability environments. The role involves collaborating with engineers to develop software components using modern technologies and architectural best practices. It requires independent judgment to resolve technical issues and make recommendations for software design and implementation. Success is measured by the ability to deliver effective software solutions that integrate with system protocols and meet business and technical requirements. The work impacts organizational capabilities by enabling advanced software systems that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Develop software solutions and conduct tests to drive engineering projects and ensure quality deliverables, including design and development of scalable Android features using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks. Contribute to design innovations that improve systems, processes, or services using new frameworks, Jetpack Compose, modular architecture approaches, and industry best practices. Collaborate with technical teams to deliver solutions and mentor others through knowledge sharing and training sessions, including Android engineering standards and AI-enabled mobile development practices. Support technology strategy by evaluating and applying current Android technologies and mobile development trends that align with business goals. Create clear documentation for software code, system designs, and business requirements to support knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration. Lead medium-to-large Android initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions, and promote scalable, testable, and maintainable mobile codebases. Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services, including AI-powered services that enable personalization, recommendations, and conversational experiences within the mobile application. Ensure quality through strong unit testing, UI automation, CI/CD participation, performance optimization, and adherence to app store compliance standards. Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required) Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Or equivalent experience in field (Required) 4-7+ years - Technical engineering experience. Strong experience developing Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android SDK components.
