Actalent Sr. Civil Engineer in Bellevue, Washington

(Job Description)

A premier, award-winning Civil Engineering Firm located in Bellevue, WA is currently hiring for a Sr. Civil Engineer to lead and coordinate the planning, design, and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects across diverse market sectors. This individual will play a pivotal role in mentoring staff, driving technical excellence, and fostering client relationships. This individual will join a passionate, collaborative team working on high-impact projects in healthcare, higher education, distribution, K-12, commercial, office, retail, mixed-use, and more.

Pay - $90k/yr. - $133k/yr.

Location - Bellevue, WA (Hybrid Schedule; 3 Days onsite, 2 Days remote)

(Summary of Key Responsibilities)

  • Lead and coordinate land development and infrastructure projects.

  • Mentor and guide junior staff to drive technical excellence.

  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Ensure project success from concept through construction documentation.

  • Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects with various stakeholders.

  • Conduct hydraulic analysis and design stormwater management systems.

  • Prepare and review site plans, drainage systems, and infrastructure designs.

  • Draft and review technical and proposal documents.

  • Participate in business development and manage client relationships.

(Qualification Requirements)

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Civil Design, Civil Engineer Position, and Land Development experience (not looking for State or Country-related).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.

  • Looking for PE License (or able to obtain within 1 year).

  • Not looking for a Project Manager, but someone who is at the Project Manager level that will be able to produce their own work.

  • Project experience in one of the following industries: Healthcare, Higher Education, Distribution, K-12, Commercial, Office, Retail, and/or Mixed-Use.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

  • Strong technical experience in site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion control.

  • Familiarity with Local, City, County, and State land use regulations.

  • Demonstrated success managing projects from concept through construction documentation.

  • Expertise in stormwater design, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and SWPPP preparation.

  • Skilled in technical and proposal writing.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License for site visits and client meetings.

  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships and generate new business.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bellevue, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $133000.00/yr.
