Robinhood Markets, Inc has positions available for Senior Software Engineer in Bellevue, WA.

Design and optimize large-scale systems within the team, making the right trade-offs for risk and long-term maintainability. Set up and drive technical directions of the project while mentoring and upleveling junior engineers on the team. Supporting core backend systems for Capacity Engineering and Analysis and other teams within Infrastructure Engineering. Partner functionally with almost every engineering team at Robinhood to ensure teams are set up for success in regard to their AWS costs. Design, build, and maintain automated systems that identify efficiency improvements and cost savings opportunities across Robinhood's cloud computing footprint. Perform investigations related to cost increases, efficiency regressions, or any other technical issues related to increased cloud spending. Continuously improve the team's data pipelines that power cloud spending data visibility. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum Requirements for Position:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. The employer will also accept a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, experience or training is acceptable.

Education or experience must include:

1. Writing, reviewing, and maintaining code utilizing multiple programming languages in collaboration with many teams, leaders, and functions.
2. Designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems leveraging microservice architecture and other modern patterns.
3. Building and maintaining systems on cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS).
4. Analyzing application, infrastructure, or other observability data to identify and improve resource utilization and other forms of efficiency.
5. Understanding of cloud computing best practices and practical application of techniques to reduce cloud computing spend.
6. Collaborating with multiple software engineering teams to drive quantifiable results.
7. Hands-on experience working with a wide range of infrastructure areas (queues, databases, testing, etc.).
