Snowflake Inc has multiple positions available for Senior Software Engineer in Bellevue, WA. Design and develop features, understand customer requirements and meet business goals. Build highly reliable software to meet the needs of the largest customers. Enhance the programmability surface of snowflake and improve the experience of the data developer. Contribute to big data open-source projects to add connectivity and support for snowflake. Analyze fault-tolerance and high availability issues, performance and scale challenges, and solve them. Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the commitments to our customers regarding reliability, availability and performance. Telecommuting permitted. $236,000.00 - $339,250.00/year
Minimum Requirements for Position: Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, and seven (7) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Education or experience must include:
- Designing and building database systems, compilers, or developer tools.
- Building enterprise grade, reliable and trustworthy software, or services.
- Java
- SQL or other database technologies including internal implementations.
- Data warehouse design, database systems, and large-scale data processing solutions.
- ASF open-source projects, such as the big-data or Hadoop ecosystem.
- Implementation testing, debugging, documentation, and query compilation compiler design.
