Position Summary
The Program Specialist 2 for Basic and Transitional Studies (BaTS) is a full-time, classified position assigned responsibilities involving intake and enrollment for the following departments and programs: Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED, English Language Acquisition (ELA), I-BEST, and High School+. The position reports to the Associate Dean of BaTS and manages data collection and data quality processes for the Literacy, Adult and Community Education System (LACES).
The Program Specialist 2 is an integral part of the BaTS staff and faculty team, helping to recruit, serve and retain students toward completion of their learning goals in the program and beyond. To be successful, this individual will be enthusiastic about promoting the program and student success; eager to work with a diverse, multicultural and multi-lingual adult education population; detail-oriented and well organized; a strong writer and verbal communicator; excellent at problem solving; and dedicated to providing exceptional operational support for all aspects of the BaTS program.
An important point of contact for students and community members, the Program Specialist 2 manages state and federal data, promotes excellence in service, facilitates student recruitment, proctors student assessments, assists with student enrollment, supports a cooperative and inclusive learning community, demonstrates a strong commitment to student success, and fosters a positive, caring, learning environment.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Position Salary Range: $47,280/year - $63,144/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Individuals newly hired to Classified position are placed in a salary range based on the WPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
