You don't shrink from the spotlight, able to coordinate cross-org meetings, field difficult questions, and create positive collaborative outcomes. You are adept at directing engineering and operations, evaluating research and writing documents for an executive audience. You ensure solutions are reliable, scalable and secure.

Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. SDM, you are empowered to:
• Own vision, strategy planning, prioritization, driving architectural decisions, and end-to-end project delivery.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs balancing the business needs versus constraints.
• Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
• Manage careers of talented engineers and managers, including making great hiring decisions, setting goals, providing feedback and managing performance.
• Develop best practices to build and operate critical platform services.
• Your teams will have highly challenging problems of scale and complexity, that requires a high power team of principal engineers and tech leads.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of engineering experience
5+ years of engineering team management experience
10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience partnering with product and program management teams
Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
