CBRE Lab Design Standards Manager (Menlo Park or Seattle area) in Bellevue, Washington

CBRE is seeking a Lab Design Standards Lead to support a client'sGlobal Lab Standards program. Based at the client office, this role isresponsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining standards andprocesses to ensure global consistency, safety, and operational excellence inlab design, construction, and operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop & Implement Standards: Lead the creation, implementation, and optimization of global lab design and operational standards, processes, and tools, incorporating best practices and industry trends.

  • Program Management: Manage program initiatives, including timelines, budgets, resources, and change management for successful delivery. Report progress and performance to leadership.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate and facilitate alignment across multiple internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors/service providers. Serve as the primary technical point of contact.

  • Content & Documentation: Develop training materials, manage program documentation in a centralized repository, and maintain lab standards content within the client’s platform.

  • Technical Guidance & Audits: Provide technical guidance on lab infrastructure, conduct audits, and update standards based on feedback and change requests.

  • Optimization & Analytics: Analyze lab utilization data and user engagement to identify areas for improvement, optimize workflows, and drive operational efficiency.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Experience in lab operations, design, construction, or planning.

  • Strong program management, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies, programs, and content management systems.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Demonstrated experience in Labor Relations, including contract interpretation, grievance management, arbitration preparation, collective bargaining negotiations, and partnership with union representatives to resolve workplace issues.

  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $145,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program.
