You Are: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to support and lead a large-scale Operations (Ops) environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in AWS, DevOps methodologies, and Java-based microservices, along with strong capabilities in incident management, troubleshooting, and cross-team communication. The opportunity: * Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on AWS. * Support and optimize Java microservices deployments across production and non-production environments. * Lead incident management activities, including triage, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews. * Monitor system performance, reliability, and capacity; implement automation to reduce manual operations. * Collaborate closely with development, QA, architecture, and business teams to ensure smooth delivery pipelines. This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. What you need: * 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience (or equivalent senior-level experience). * Strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, etc.). * Expertise in Java-based microservices deployment and support. * Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.). * Advanced skills in containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS. * Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell, Bash, or similar). * Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, etc.). * Proven track record in incident management, troubleshooting, and production support. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below. Role Location: Washington Compensation Range: $78,000-$117,000 Benefits Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
