Traditional Mortgage Acceptance Corporation seeks Data Engineer in Bellevue, WA to engage in data pipeline construction and automation with projects across departments; design and develop data pipeline solutions and modify and improve existing solutions, focusing on the extraction and management of big data; and be responsible for full-length data pipeline construction from extraction of messy financial data (including interest rates, variables affecting interest rates, and internal loan data) to organized data sets that can be used for modeling. Projects may include, but not be limited to: parsing large text files, writing them to an existing database, and optimizing for speed; improving and scheduling automatic updates for existing processes; extracting data from third-party application programming interfaces (API's) and cleaning the data for end use; solidifying the existing database by improving data integrity and table relationships; assessing and projecting internal loan pipeline performance; and financial and statistical modeling. Local telecommuting permitted two days per week.
Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, operations research and information engineering, financial engineering, data analytics, or related field. Must have knowledge of: (i) Python or Pandas; (ii) R or Data Table; (iii) SQL or MySQL; (iv) data extraction and web scraping; (v) Microsoft Azure; (vi) database development and management; and (vii) full length data pipeline construction from extraction of messy data to organized datasets that can be used for modeling.
