Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse to administer a range of treatments including chemotherapy, biotherapy, antibiotics, and injections, while managing symptoms and educating patients. This role involves delivering and documenting nursing care using a structured clinical approach, responding to adverse reactions during treatment, and maintaining compliance with documentation standards. The position requires proficiency in administering various therapies such as IV infusions, monoclonal antibodies, and subcutaneous/intramuscular injections.
Responsibilities
Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, antibiotics, and injections.
Manage symptoms and educate patients.
Deliver and document nursing care using a structured clinical approach.
Administer IV infusions, monoclonal antibodies, and subcutaneous/intramuscular injections.
Respond appropriately to adverse reactions during treatment.
Maintain compliance with documentation standards and regulations.
Apply knowledge of safety and procedural guidelines acquired through ongoing training.
Conduct continuous patient assessments and record findings.
Collaborate with other clinical staff to support comprehensive patient care.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and well-equipped care environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Follow all established clinical protocols and operational procedures.
Support other areas of the clinic such as pharmacy, triage, laboratory services, immunizations, and scheduling as needed.
Essential Skills
Current RN License.
2+ years’ experience in medical oncology preferred.
Experience administering chemotherapy.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Proficiency in oncology nursing and infusion therapies.
Must have ONS/ONCC certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Prior experience in an outpatient infusion center.
Willingness to obtain ONS/ONCC certification.
Ideal candidate if willing to get ONS/ONCC cert.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call or weekend shifts. Typical patient volume is approximately 10–12 individuals per day, allowing for focused and personalized care. Occasional travel to a nearby affiliated location in Roselle, NJ may be required to support staffing needs. The role is primarily based at one site within a dedicated outpatient suite affiliated with a larger hospital system. The environment promotes collaboration and cross-coverage among locations to ensure continuity of care. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods of time is required, along with lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $114400.00 - $114400.00/yr.
PTO and holiday packages available. Will have training for any updated Oncology programs
