PDS Tech Commercial Lab Technician in Belleville, Illinois

Location: Belleville, IL | Pay: $20/hour | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM | Contract: 6+ months

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team, partnering with an industry leader in the public utility sector. In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the quality and safety of essential services that impact communities every day.
What You’ll Do
Assist the chemistry and administrative teams with a variety of lab tasks
Perform sample preparation, including pouring/aliquoting of water samples
Support preservation, disposal, and basic chemistry functions
Prepare and assemble sample kits for testing
Maintain inventory of consumable stock and ensure proper documentation
Conduct safety checks to support compliance and a safe working environment
Utilize Excel and internal systems for data entry and tracking
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to thrive in a laboratory setting with strong attention to detail
Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel
Preferred: experience in both lab work and shipping/receiving processes

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
